The process
Music begins with the scene,
not with a formula.
Every film calls for a different balance of music, silence, rhythm and thematic development. The process starts with a close reading of the material and stays in dialogue with the edit and the director’s intent.
Themes and language
I shape a musical direction for the film: themes, instrumental palette and first proposals against picture, followed by clear revision rounds.
Organized materials
Approved cues are finalized and the agreed materials are prepared for post-production, including versions and stems when the project calls for them.

When should a composer join the project?
A composer can be involved before picture lock. Working from a rough cut helps establish the role of music early; final delivery is then aligned with the approved edit.
Can the entire process be remote?
Yes. Briefing, spotting, revisions and approvals can be handled remotely through shared materials and agreed review stages.
What do you need for an initial assessment?
Format and running time, the state of the edit, timeline, musical references and a short description of what the music should accomplish in the story.
Do you have a film in production?
Send a brief, a scene or a rough cut. I will come back with an initial reading of what the music can contribute and the clearest way to work together.
